Balloon-like growths that resemble moles or other bumpy discolorations; they may also be suspended on a slender stalk.
For the most part, skin tags are painless and non-cancerous (benign), and can be found anywhere along the skin’s surface – but they are most commonly found in areas where the skin creases or folds, such as the:
- Armpits
- Groin
- Thighs
- Eyelids
- Neck
A common wart is a tough, grainy bump that appears on your hands and fingers. It is caused by a virus that is highly contagious and spreads through touch. That is why warts are so common in children, young adults, and others with immature or weakened immune systems. Warts are not medically dangerous, but you may want to have them removed if you are embarrassed by them or if they interfere with your daily activities.
